Wise-Sync develops platform for automated payment syncing
Paul MacNeill, Wise-Sync

Wise-Sync was born from Melbourne managed services provider Virage IT's need for a better accounting tool, after seeing first-hand how businesses needed to automate the payment collection process.

Founded in 2012, Wise-Sync syncs invoices, purchase orders, detailed expenses and payments from ConnectWise with cloud accounting platforms Xero and QuickBooks Online.

However, ConnectWise isn't without its limitations. It only supports legacy platforms such as Authorize.Net and PayPal Flow. Wise-Sync's customers wanted the ability to use multiple payment options while reducing the effort it required to manage payment processes.

In response, Wise-Sync developed Wise-Pay, a solution that bridges the gap between ConnectWise and global payment processing platforms such as Stripe, Braintree, IntegraPay and Authorize.Net, becoming the first payment integration for ConnectWise delivering global payment processing.

The platform, which is built on AWS, provides a migration pathway for businesses that are using competitive platforms and that are looking for an automated solution to sync payments. Wise-Pay offers customers flexibility to control how and when they want to process payments while automating the accounting transactional flow, saving administrative time by over 95%.

The platform was launched in January 2016, and has already signed up 3500 payers as of January 2017, along with 90 active merchants, processing over $2M payments monthly.

PowerNET IT was one of four pilot customers to adopt Wise-Pay. PowerNET general manager Alanna Kane said: "Combined with ConnectWise and Xero, Wise-Sync has completely changed the way we do business. As a result of being able to sync all of our financial data form ConnectWise into Xero, we’re more efficient and have more visibility over our company's performance than ever before.”

Wise-Sync is a finalist in the IP, product and platform innovation category at the 2017 CRN Impact Awards.
